Percherons Horses |
||
| Percheron draft horses have been in our family
for over 20 years. We have foundation stock that
exemplify the sound stature and working
personality needed in quality draft horses. HISTORY OF OUR HORSES My parents, Leland and Connie Hovey, started with one filly in 1979. Her name was Schmacher's Jacklynn Jackie. With her, my parents began building a herd of registered Percheron mares. They have focused on good personalities, solid bone and good feet. We have bred many horses that are true to the Percheron traits. Today, all of my father's mares originate from Jackie. She served my family in many capacities during her tenure at LeCon Farms. Jackie died in 1999. |

| My
first Percheron mare is LeCon Jewel,
Jackie's last filly. She is the
beginning of our herd and bloodlines
here in Nebraska. She is our foundation
in the Percheron breed.
TODAY'S ACTIVITIES My family enjoys being active in the horse world in many ways. We use our horses for work and play. I continue to help my father with his horses in Iowa while working with mine here in Nebraska. You can find us showing under the names LeCon Percherons and Sandramere Farm. |
